I tried your game! I got all four keys and I tried opening the door at the top afterwards but it doesn't seem to work. I must admit that I am baffled at the puzzles included. The hedge maze was a bit irritating, especially with the high encounter rate. The portals took me a while and I was happy to find the answer in the book to speed it up. I hope I'm not sounding overly critical, but the inclusion of an Undertale based puzzle was baffling. Especially since you took the time to write in several books to summarize the plot. You can get infinite money from Gil, so I was able to stock up on as many items as I wanted. I do want to be clear and say that I think this game is okay for what it is, but it could definitely use some work. I hope you keep working at it and improve!
The door doesn't seem to react to anything I do, unless I am doing something wrong. And I see! It doesn't make the game bad, I just thought referencing another game was odd, but as filler it's fine. Ah, alright, I wasn't sure if Gil was supposed to do that or not.

Weird, the door worked when I tested it before uploading, I'll look into the bug tonight!
Also the indie game puzzle was strictly to fill in for actual lore later on. Sorry.
Also Gil is intended to give infinite gold for the demo, didn't want it to be unplayable.

Quick question, did you insert the keys into the pillars by the door? Or do you still have any of the keys in your inventory under key items?
I didn't think about that. I'll do that when I get home from work.
Alright, I'll be sure to add dialogue about the pillars in the non-game jam demo release to see if that's the issue.
Any luck checking?
